Quick-fill decorations by skill

Tick the skills you want; empty slots on equipped pieces get the best matching armor decoration. Already-set slots are left alone. Armor decorations only - weapon decorations fit weapon slots, which this builder doesn't manage.

Choose a piece

How to use the armor set builder

  1. Equip a piece: press “Choose Head / Chest / Arms / Waist / Legs” to open the picker, then search by piece name or filter by skill to find the armor that grants what you want.
  2. Add a charm: the sixth slot takes one charm - Wilds charms carry fixed skills (no decoration slots), so pick the rank that covers a skill your armor misses.
  3. Slot decorations: each equipped piece shows its slots as Lv1–3 diamonds. Pick a jewel per slot, or tick skills in “Quick-fill” and auto-fill every empty slot.
  4. Read the table: the skill panel totals every source, caps each skill at its max level (red pips + a “wasted” badge show over-stacking), and tracks set bonus and group skill thresholds as you equip.
  5. Save and share: the build lives in your browser and in the URL - “Copy share link” gives you a URL that reopens this exact build anywhere.

Example: a capped skill and a wasted level

Equipping the full Rey Dau α set (5 pieces) and the Power Charm III gives Latent Power 2+2+1 from armor plus 3 from the charm - a raw total of 8. The game caps Latent Power at Lv5, so the builder shows Lv 5/5 with +3 wasted: three levels you're spending budget on for nothing. Swap the charm (or one piece) for something that isn't already capped.

The same build also shows both bonus systems: 4+ pieces activate Rey Dau's Voltage Lv2 (set bonus, 2/4-piece thresholds), and any 3 pieces sharing the Lord's Favor group skill activate Inspiration Lv1.

How the skill calculator works

The math

  • Skill levels stack additively from every source (pieces, charm, decorations, bonuses), then cap at each skill's max level.
  • Set bonuses fire at 2 and 4 pieces of a family - α/β/γ variants count together; the few variant-specific bonuses (e.g. Gogmazios) pool separately.
  • Group skills fire at 3 pieces sharing the same group skill name, even across different monster sets.
  • Defense and resistances sum per piece; slot totals count only decorations that legally fit (a [3] jewel needs a Lv3 slot).

Data & limitations

  • Source: wilds.mhdb.io game-file data, snapshot 2026-10-11 - all 582 high-rank pieces, 187 charm ranks, 66 armor jewels.
  • Not included: low-rank armor, weapon decorations (they fit weapon slots), and decoration crafting materials (missing from the source API - flagged, not guessed).
  • The aggregation engine is unit-tested against known in-game combos (caps, 2/4-piece bonuses, 3-piece group skills, slot rules).

Armor builder FAQ

How do skill levels stack in this builder?
Additively, up to each skill's cap. Every piece, charm, decoration and bonus adds its levels together; anything past the skill's maximum is marked as wasted so you can re-spend it. The FAQ walks through the full rules.
Why can't I put my weapon jewels in the armor slots?
Wilds splits decorations into armor jewels and weapon jewels, and each only fits its own slot type. A [3] armor jewel also needs a Lv3 armor slot. The builder refuses invalid placements and tells you why instead of silently ignoring them.
Do α and β pieces count towards the same set bonus?
Yes - set bonuses count pieces of the same monster family regardless of variant, firing at 2 and 4 pieces. A handful of title-update sets give each variant its own bonus; those pool separately, exactly as the game does.
Where is my build stored?
In your browser (localStorage) and in the share-link URL. Nothing is sent to a server - the site is fully static and works offline once loaded.
Why does the builder only include high-rank armor?
The tools target endgame high-rank building. Low-rank pieces exist in the source data but are deliberately excluded; the dataset banner on every page states the scope so the boundary is never hidden.

Where these numbers come from

Armor, skills, decorations and charms are extracted from the game files via wilds.mhdb.io (snapshot 2026-10-11); sharpness multipliers are cited from the community sources on the data & sources page. The math runs entirely in your browser - no accounts, no tracking. If a value disagrees with your game, cross-check it against the community wiki; that's what the wiki links on every row are for.
